HORSE RIDING IN THE VINEYARDS - 1 HOUR
My one hour vineyard ride is the perfect ride for complete novices and people who’ve never been on a horse. If you’ve always wanted to ride a horse, but never had the chance, this ride is for you. I will give everyone a quick tutorial to show the basics, before we take a gentle stroll through our own farm, and across to our neighbour’s vineyard. Very nervous riders can have a guide on the ground or a lead attached to my horse. The horses are very well trained, and easy to ride. Along the ride we are likely to see many different bird species, wild flowers, the occasional bokkie, and of course the glorious views. While we keep beginners safe by sticking to a walk, more experienced riders will have a chance to trot or canter, provided they know how and don't bounce on the horses’ backs. Late arrivals- although we will try our best to accomodate late arrivals, I may have to cut your ride short due to other bookings or commitments. On the farm we also have a Big Cat sanctuary where guests can see lions, cheetah, tigers and white lions. Here I will share more on the history of Macassar, as well as our ancient Muslim heritage. From here we will continue our run to Macassar High School where I train and teach the youth Athletics and Kinetics through my non-profit organisation, Heldeberg Athletics Academy. The academy is a passion project that I started as way of up skilling the youth in my area. Our run will also pass by landmarks that carry personal meaning, as they represent milestones in my own life. Finally we head back to the mall, passing a memorial park commemorating locals who lost their lives in an explosion at a local factory.
