Using real sterling silver, tiny saws, hammers, and fire, you'll create your very own ring. I'll teach you how to measure, cut, solder, bend, file, and polish your custom creation. You can also texturize or letter stamp it to make it truly one of a kind. You'll leave wearing your new ring with a sense of great accomplishment and the perfect souvenir. Other things to note: This experience runs between 2.5-3.5 hours long depending on your design choices and work ethic. Average class time is 3 hours. Safety is important in the studio! Along the way we will stop at several picturesque waterfalls, an iconic Canadian cafe chain and an award winning winery. During short walks along tree lined paths at these smaller falls, you’ll learn about the geology of the area followed by a stop at a coffee shop chain that has become part of the Canadian identity. Then, we’ll hop in the car and continue to Niagara's wine region, where we will stop for a tasting (including ICE wine) at one of Niagara Regions most award winning wineries. After a delicious sit down lunch, we’ll go to the world-famous Niagara Falls where you will bathe in the mist from the Falls as we walk along the rim of the Niagara Gorge. This experience is for individuals, kids, or couples/dance partners, and we will relearn the art of Salsa or Bachata (your choice. or both!) in leading and following. We'll practice the basic steps with a fusion into casual social dance with a partner. You will learn about timing, rhythm, turn patterns, body waves, hand holds, and sensing your partner. We'll have fun and you'll learn to dance with confidence. This lesson is for EVERYONE - from beginners with little or no dance experience to experienced salsa/bachata dancers. The class will last 1 hour. The goal is to give the male leader new leading skills and to teach the female follower to be present in the moment. It's a relatively foreign dance style, but it’s entertaining for sure! Btw, Salsa/Bachata is a fantastic way to connect with your partner on a romantic date night!!! With guided, professional instruction, you'll have a fun and creative time making an item out of clay on a pottery wheel. I will show you how to work with the clay, get it ready for the wheel, center it, and eventually start shaping. Usually students can make either a small bowl, plate, mug or vase on their first try. You will get up to 30 minutes of time on the wheel which is plenty to create one item, and then you can add accents to your piece i.e. handle and you'll get to handbuild for the remainder of the time (add accents to your piece). You can take the pottery home with you the same day you make them, or—if you'd like—I can fire your work, glaze it, and ship it to you for a small fee. Fishing tours! You'll be taken out on a boat by your fishing guide, formerly competitive fisherman Kevin Reid, from the launch on Crowe River. Alternate lakes and times can be arranged. You'll then get to fish - all fishing equipment, safety equipment, and bait will be provided. Beverages and snacks as well (send any requests). Different types of fishing available at different times of year. Lessons available for any skill level, or if you're experienced already, we'll just show you the best spots on Crowe Lake. Afterwards, if you are keeping any of the catch, you will have the option of being shown how to clean and fillet the fish at our nearby property. I want to be your friend-photographer for the day! :) This will be a private event! We will be walking around the neighborhood and avoid all indoor locations. Please dress for the weather. We will meet up and discover Yorkville together. If you are interested, I will also tell you about Yorkville's history of fame and fortune (ask me for photos from the 1900s!). We will take some lifestyle portraits in a park - this park gets new decorations every season and is a cultural hub. We will then continue walking towards the oldest street in the neighborhood. This area has a few of the oldest historical buildings in Toronto and a slight European feel. We will stop to admire the stark contrast between new condos and old buildings including some public street art, the chic coffee truck and the street with the most loved Italian restaurants. We will also stop at any spots that you consider photo-worthy. We will end the tour back on Bloor street - one of the most luxurious shopping streets in North America. You can shop here or head for the TTC station. The whole journey should take us around 1 hour to complete Other things to note: - Couples and families please book a private shoot. - If you want a customized tour (for example, a different location/time/date that is not available) please reach out to me first. The full practice will take an hour. It will be primarily interval work with a cardio / muscle endurance focus. Stay for a guided beach meditation if you like. This has been a proven method to boost strength, improve heart health, and maximize metabolism (even after your workout). After meeting at the beach, we'll do a warm up and active stretch that will help prepare your body for the work. I'll then talk you through all the stations of work and physical flows we'll be engaging with, being sure to highlight proper form and functionality. Then we'll get into it. The meat of the exercise will last approximately 20-30 minutes. After, we'll focus on mobility, doing effective stretches that will help your body recover. Workouts will run between 2 and 7pm. You decide. I'll be bringing my bluetooth speaker as an option. We can either listen to the waves, my pick of 'pump you up' tunes, or you can put something on that you prefer.
