Saldremos del punto de encuentro que escogiste al Parque Nacional Volcán Poás, el cuál se encuentra a 1 hora, cuando lleguemos al parqueo caminaremos 20 minutos para llegar al Cráter del Volcán Poás, el cuál tiene el geyser más grande del mundo, ahí estaremos unos 30 minutos, luego caminaremos 15 minutos a la laguna Botos(estaremos unos 15 minutos), que era un Volcán que al estar inactivo, se convirtió en laguna, regresaremos de estos dos sitios al parqueo(hay cafetería y tienda de souvenirs) y nos dirijiremos a la catarata La Paz, está se encuentra a 40 minutos, en ella estaremos 30 minutos aproximadamente y luego regresaremos al punto de encuentro(1 hora). Este tour permite que puedas conocer todo detalle de este volcán histórico(la gente que no pertenece al tour, trata de acercarse a hacer preguntas, porque no cuentan con suficiente información, además monitoreo el clima y las cámaras, para decidir que visitamos primero, el volcán o la catarata, por lo general un 90% de mis tours, lo pueden ver. We’ll go to the cloud-forest in the mountains of Heredia on a LEVEL 3** hike that features a beautiful waterfall and amazing landscapes. We’ll meet in Heredia city center and drive to a Protected Area where we’ll trek through a recovered cloud-forest with exuberant vegetation and lesser fauna. We’ll visit a waterfall and if you’re up for it, swim in the pure, chill, mountain water! After exploring the upper layers of the forest from atop a lookout point, we’ll head back to town to recover and enjoy a "casado" in a typical lunch PLEASE READ THESE FACTS ATTENTIVELY ** ¨Level 3 hike¨ means: 3 out of 10 in difficulty. A ninety minutes hike with good inclines, some stamina is required. I'll handle everything from picking you up from your hotel (whether you're in San Jose, Heredia, or Alajuela) to securing your tickets for the volcano, leaving you free to simply book the experience and relish the trip. Tio Jose Coffee Tour
Our tour is a visit to the farm, guided by the farmer (Jose, Antony or Ivette) walk around the coffee field, it is not a very long walk but you will get to know the coffee plants, how we plant them, how we harvest, the way we select the fruits we pick and the way we farm trying to do it in harmony with nature. We also show you how we process and sundry the coffee, the roasting and all the steps we have to follow to be able to have a good cup of coffee. Finally we will try the different coffees and also products made with the coffee fruit. Note that the walk to the fields can be muddy and slippery during the rainy season. The tour can be in Spanish or English. El tour consiste en una visita a la finca, guiada por el agricultor (Jose, Anthony o Ivette) no es una caminata muy larga pero se pueden conocer las plantas de cafe desde como se siembran y se cuidan, como se recolecta el cafe y nuestra forma de trabajar la tierra en armonia con la natrualeza. This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners as well as those with prior ceramic experience. What I can do in this workshop? Well, I will teach you all the techniques of ceramics and how to finish a ceramic object from clay to bisque and glaze. You can create your own pieces using all the knowledge learned in the class and use our own underglazes or engobes that I produce here in Costa Rica with local clays. Sloths & Wilderness, Expert guided Nature Stroll in San Jose
This is the MUST-DO experience in SJO for nature lovers! We will explore the hidden ecosystem resting inside the University of Costa Rica's campus, the first public university in the country, by the hand of the young biologists who study here. Be ready for amazing bird-watching, curious insects, all sorts of tropical plants and the cherry on top of the cake: the small population of sloths living wild and free on the campus' gardens. Many times we will try some wild berries and smell all sorts of barks and flowers. We'll be talking about art, history, indigenous culture, and most of all, nature. This is a full senses experience so you will get to see, touch, smell, taste, and listen to nature thriving amidst our country's biggest city. *** From May to November we recommend booking on the morning slot due to rainy afternoons, however, the afternoons are also great DISCLAIMER: This is not a Recue Center or Sloth Sactuary Tour. You will not be able to touch them, if found, the sloths will be seen in their natural habitat, which means most of the time they will be sleeping on the trees.
